I tried Buff a while back because it promised free in-game items, games, and gift cards just for playing. The program runs in the background and tracks achievements while you game. Later, I learned it had worked as a crypto miner in the past. Even if that changed, I found the app pointless. The rewards weren’t worth the time, and the setup felt sketchy. Privacy concerns were real since the software had to run constantly. In the end, I uninstalled Buff, left their community, and decided it was a waste. To me, it comes across more like a scam than a real way to earn anything valuable.
