It doesn’t really affect my computer, but the earnings are very low. I left it running overnight for about 5 hours and only got around 400 points, which came to roughly 30 Swagbucks. That’s not much profit. On InstaGC, the payout from HideoutTV feels better. For example, cashing out 1450 points gave me about $1 there, but on Swagbucks it was only 66 points. There are no serious issues, though your device can slow down if it runs all day, especially on Chrome or with low RAM. Restarting the browser or the device usually fixes it. You won’t get viruses as long as you avoid clicking ads. I’ve heard points may stop adding if you don’t interact with an ad once in a while. When I ran it during my workday, I earned about 30 cents in 8 hours, but I had to occasionally click “are you still watching” prompts. It doesn’t run smoothly for the full 8 hours without attention. If this was my only setup, it wouldn’t be worth it. On average, daily earnings are slow but safe. Running it on my phone hasn’t caused any problems either.

I haven’t used them in a while, but I remember earnings and video inventory usually dipped in September. This year feels worse since they even sent out an email about it. I suspect the global downturn is making the seasonal drop sharper. I got the same email others mentioned, and now the sites just say unavailable. I’ve seen low or no earnings before, but never a full shutdown. Yesterday everything was working, and now videos are marked unavailable. That basically kills Earnably for me. It’s odd because I had normal earnings between 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. PST, then just hours later the platform stopped crediting points. I also noticed the Poker channel disappeared, and lately both Hideout and Loot have been near zero. When I tried again, the message was the same. At this point I wonder if it’s site maintenance, but the timing and silence from them suggest otherwise. Payouts were already bad last week, and now the site feels like it may be dying or scaling back heavily. I used to enjoy letting videos run in the background and discovering new creators while earning points daily. In 2023, though, I could run videos across all their themed sites for 12 hours and not receive a single point. My browser has no ad blockers, and I see the “Loading ad” text before the ad fails to play, so videos run without ads. Only sidebar ads appear, and even when I clicked those, I never got credited. Support is non-existent. They don’t answer questions, their support provider shut down, and their Twitter account is gone. These signs make it look like they’ve abandoned the platform. I really hope they fix things and bring the service back to how it once was, but right now HideoutTV feels completely dead.
