Submit receipts the same day you shop because ReceiptPal has strict deadline rules and late submissions get rejected. Connect your email account early because you cannot redeem any rewards at all until you have had it linked for at least 30 days. Do not stop scanning after filling your weekly cards because extra receipts still earn you sweepstakes entries. And run it alongside Fetch or Ibotta at the same time to get more value out of every single receipt you already have.

I got flagged twice in the past few days while trying to scan my receipts. I was at home on my Wi-Fi both times. I always keep my VPN on and never had problems before, but now it’s becoming an issue. It’s frustrating enough that I’m considering stopping the app altogether.

I started using this receipt scanning app and noticed the same issues others reported. Their Facebook page disappeared, and when I tried to contact support through the web browser, everything seemed wiped out. Emails to support bounced back, and at one point it even looked like the company had let their website domain expire. For a while, the app wouldn’t load at all, though I did manage to redeem 4,000 points for a $10 Amazon gift card before it went into maintenance mode again. Later, the app came back and I was able to redeem $35, but the disappearing social media and inconsistent service make me question how long it will last. It feels unstable, and I’m not sure I can count on my points being safe in the future.
