The Shepper app has been a great side-earning option for me. I joined a few months ago and have made over £1,000 in the past three months. It works like a mystery shopping or small gig platform, where you complete simple local tasks listed in the app. You can choose as many as you want, and each one usually takes only a few minutes. Some of the best-paying gigs included taking photos of National Lottery advertising in stores, which paid £3 per store plus a £3 bonus per store after completing ten or more. I managed to complete over 70 of those. There were also bus shelter checks that followed the same format. Currently, there’s a task for checking vacant buildings—just a quick five-minute job that pays £3 each.

There are plenty of available tasks on this app, especially if you live near a city center. It often lists multiple jobs within walking distance. A few weeks ago, there was an “Oppo phone check” task, and I found six stores in my nearby shopping center offering £6 each. The “bus stop check” was huge, with hundreds of opportunities available. Right now, I can see Superdrug checks focused on makeup and nail brand displays, as well as vacant building checks to confirm if locations are empty. New jobs appear regularly, so it’s worth checking often.
