I started using Slicethepie because the idea of reviewing music for money sounded fun. At first, it was enjoyable, but the pay quickly dropped, and I began getting warnings that my writing style was too similar across reviews. I wasn’t sure how to fix that, and in the end I only earned $2.56 in three weeks. I’ve noticed earnings change a lot depending on bonuses. When there’s a bonus, I can get 10–20 cents per review. Without it, the rate drops to about 6–7 cents, even if I write long, grammatically correct reviews. I’ve stayed at a 3-star rating for months and can’t seem to get higher, which makes it harder to earn more. The minimum payout is now $20, so with an average of 7 cents per review, I’d need close to 300 reviews just to cash out. While I’ve seen some people make $18 in a couple of months by reviewing often, my experience has been slower. After 73 reviews in about six months, I only reached $10. In my view, Slicethepie is worth it only when bonuses are active. Without them, the time and effort don’t match the low pay.

I’ve been using Slicethepie.com in my free time and so far I’ve made $7.54. The site pays you to write reviews of songs you listen to, and you must listen for at least 90 seconds before submitting a rating out of 10. You can start writing your review while the track plays. Payments are sent through PayPal with a $10 minimum withdrawal. Each review pays between 5 and 20 cents depending on quality. From my experience, it helps to describe details like the hook, lyrics, vocals, and overall track, and to use varied adjectives so your reviews don’t get repetitive. Longer reviews tend to pay better. One important thing to remember is the date of birth you entered at signup, since it’s required when requesting a withdrawal.
